Scottish adventurer Karen Darke who is paralysed from the chest down,begin the 1st leg of a gruelling expedition across the Greenland ice cap.She will sit on adapted ski's and use arm power to propell herself across the ice. The 34yr old paralysed in a climbing accident has 372 miles ahead of her and has been training every day.Her blog is being carried on the Highlands &Islands Enterprise careers Scotland website.Before this adventure, she had kayaked in Alaska and hand -cycled the length of japan.The team of 6 hope to raise money for the charity Interventure.
